What makes you a "Divine Woman in Business?
✨What is your truth?
This blogger named roach-works has a great saying:
"I think ultimately, you become the person who would have saved you that time n o one did."
That's who I am today as an author, coach, and priestess, telling truths and providing spiritual support for those who may not find it in mainstream religious congregations. I was raised in a conservative church that didn't allow women in ministry; I studied neuroscience to try to understand if the theology I was being taught was true.
After five years working in scientific research, I started my publishing business and began studying with religious groups and spiritual practitioners around North America.
Now I want to share what I've learned from a decade in clinical neuroscience research and a decade studying theology and magic with as many people as possible.
Especially women and LGBTQ+ people who are so often dismissed and oppressed by mainstream religious institutions.
"What is a story of strength, survival or hardship you have overcome and what did that teach you?
When I was 26, I realized nothing in my life was working. I'd been supporting many different people as a caregiver and working in an emergency medicine research job that had me on call and working late nights. In therapy,
I realized I planned everything in my life around what other people wanted and expected from me.
I realized that if something didn't change, I was never going to write the books that lived inside of me. I performed my first Breaking Your Bonds ritual, letting go of my fears, my guilt, my material circumstances.
year later I was in a new city, in a new career, in new relationships. It was really hard to overcome my fear of harming those I loved by saying "no" to them, but ten years down the line, I can say we all benefitted tremendously from me following my true calling. And that's what I want to help other people do. We come here for a reason, and if we listen to society instead of our inner divine spark, we can't change society for the better. We can't properly steward the world.
"What advice would you give to other women to succeed as "Divine Women" in their lives?"
Number 1: Know your worth.
A recent study valued the labor of a domestic homemaker at over $100,000 per year if that were paid labor. Women often don't negotiate for their worth because they don't understand it: they are told by society that they're only doing what is required of them.
I honestly think this is why men are falling behind in education and career paths right now: women are used to having an impossible amount of work expected from us as a baseline. It's time we come to understand our indispensable value to society, to families, to the economy. Without us, nothing works.
Number 2: The poet Rumi said: You must ask for what you really want. You don't get what you don't ask for.
It took me many years to be comfortable even voicing my needs or desires because I was conditioned to feel that that was selfish, or that it was unreasonable to expect my desires to be fulfilled. Now I like to say I do six impossible things before breakfast every day, because I am living a life that I was told was impossible and totally unreasonable to expect by society and the community I came from.
You can get everything you want, but only if you ask for it, and negotiate knowing your indispensable value.
Number 3: Know that change is the only constant.
Our plans for life often don't work out, because the world doesn't stay the same. It's those who know their worth, have faith in their abilities, and know how to learn and adapt to changing circumstances who succeed. As I say in my book "Breaking Your Bonds," if you play your cards right, having suffered adversity can put you ahead of the curve because you know how to adapt and innovate and grow.
