What makes you a "Divine Woman in Business? ✨What is your story?

My journey into fashion design started at the ripe age of 13, when I asked my mom to show me how the sewing machine worked. Years later, a little project- stage costume for a prima ballerina turned into several costumes for the whole troupe.

That experience never left me. I see fashion as creating a beautiful container for our bodies to live, dance, and enjoy life. Having degrees in textile chemical engineering and textile as fine art allowed me to create outfits unique enough to be showcased during NYFE, LAFW, and to be published nationally and internationally.

My unique education led me to experience the devastating impact the fashion and textile industries have on the environment.

Last year, I published a book, “Luxury of the New Era: A New Vision of the Fashion World.”

"What is a story of strength, survival or hardship you have overcome and what did that teach you?"

I was born into an occupied country. The resistance began very early. I learned how to keep my integrity, moral values, and fight for freedom, when even voicing all that could lead me to an insane asylum or worse, when even the smallest disobedience could ruin my life forever. My character was forged there.

I moved to the US. I had nothing, just a small suitcase with essentials and very little knowledge of English. Very soon l found myself alone with 8-month baby in my hands. With no support from the father or anyone, I finished college without student loans or grants. Worked in Corporate America for years, taught in the same college l just graduated with a perfect GPA.

After the layoff in 2010, I returned to my artistic roots and began building my skill set and business. From painting, to jewelry, to fashion.

"What advice would you give to other women to succeed as "Divine Women" in their lives?"

1. Find your strengths and build your skills around them

2. Build social capital, because your network is your net worth.

3. Be consistent, business is a marathon, not a sprint, watch for the signs of burnout

4. Take care of yourself
